BookCab.in

Cancellation Policy

BookCab.in connects you with independent cab operators. Trips are booked directly with the operator, so cancellation terms are set by them — this page explains the standard practice and what we handle ourselves.

1.Cancelling a travel requirement

A requirement you posted can be closed at any time from your dashboard, free of charge. Operators stop receiving it immediately, though those who already unlocked the lead may still contact you.

2.Cancelling a confirmed trip

Once you accept a quotation, the booking is a direct agreement with that operator. Cancel by calling the operator as early as possible, and inform us so we can record it.

Typical industry practice in India, unless the operator states otherwise:

  • More than 24 hours before pickup — usually no charge.
  • 6 to 24 hours before pickup — up to 25% of the agreed fare.
  • Under 6 hours or no-show — up to 50% of the agreed fare, or the full driver allowance for outstation trips.
  • Advance amounts already paid to the operator are handled under their own terms.

3.Cancellation by the operator

If an operator cancels on you, report it to us. We will help you obtain a fresh quotation quickly, and repeated cancellations lead to loss of verification, removal from featured placement, or delisting.

4.Force majeure

Neither side is charged for cancellations caused by floods, strikes, curfews, protests, accidents, extreme weather, road closures or government restrictions.

5.Operator listing and plan cancellation

Operators may cancel a featured or premium plan at any time; the listing stays live until the end of the paid period and does not auto-renew after cancellation. Amounts already paid follow our refund policy. To delist entirely, request account closure and we will remove the listing within 3 working days.
